BCI membership eligibility
Here are some key aspects related to age and profession when considering BCI membership eligibility:
- Profession/Industry: BCI chapters typically allow only one representative per specific profession or business category within the chapter. This exclusivity ensures that each member has a unique offering, and there is minimal competition within the chapter. Prospective members should check whether their specific professional category is open in the chapter they are interested in joining.
- Age: BCI membership eligibility is generally not contingent on age. BCI focuses on the professional background, experience, and reputation of potential members rather than their age. Professionals of various age groups can join as long as they meet the other eligibility criteria. (Minimum Age 21)
- Business Stability: BCI chapters typically look for individuals with stable and established businesses. While start-ups may be considered in some cases, having a business with a track record of stability and success is often preferred.
- Commitment to Referral Networking: Prospective members should have a commitment to the BCI philosophy of "Building Connections for impact," meaning they are willing to actively ready for making connections to get connected.
- Positive Reputation: BCI values members with positive professional reputations. Prospective members should have a good track record in business conduct, ethics, and client relations.
- Financial Commitment: BCI membership involves financial commitments, including an initial registration fee and ongoing membership dues. Prospective members should be prepared to invest in their BCI membership as part of their overall business development strategy.
